Property Owner Engagement

Do you own a property in Alameda County? Do you have available housing units or rooms to rent and want to help permanently house residents experiencing or at risk of homelessness?

Housing and Homelessness Services contracts with our nonprofit partner Abode to work with Property Owners to match rental units with clients in need of housing.

Property Owner Incentives Include:

  • Landlord Liaison services for property owners to ensure rental payments are reliable, units are filled quickly, and any challenges that come up are addressed.
  • Wrap around support for tenants to ensure their success in maintaining housing.
  • Single point of contact for property owners.
  • Possible Financial Incentives - move-in bonuses, risk mitigation funds (support for repairs etc.), rent arrears.
